If this global movement only accomplished one thing, I hope it is that governments take back the sole right to print and issue money. This could be linked with the gold standard with inflation curtailed by income tax. It is possible. A world where countries didn't have to pay interest on borrowings and instead this money goes towards education, health and infastructure. The FED and The ECB are all privately owned banks and every one of us on this planet pay them a rent just to live.
That is true, and did you know that the income tax was created to directly tax what they could not before by law. Preventing the judicial branch from protecting citizens from indirect non-apportioned taxation.
I like your idea, but let me suggest that it should be a secondary goal. We need to first route out the corruption and bribery in our political system before other reforms can be obtained. For decades now both the right and the left have been bought and paid for by corporations and special interests (including unions). The current system of legalized bribery (campaign donations) and paid lobbyist have turned our "representatives" into the lap dogs of the corporations and special interests. What we need is real, loop-hole free CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM if we want to break the cycle. It needs to be THE main goal of these protest!!! Other meaningful reforms will follow, but only if we get the money out now! The crony-capitalism/neo-feudalism we have right now will continue until we stop the corporations from using their money to "speak" as if they are representing millions of Americans.
