I hope someone is reading these. You have people's attention, now you have to be able to pour your energies into something concrete. I have a suggestion. Too often we tend to think in terms of either or. People are locked into these cycles of false choices because that's all they know. They rarely think outside the box. I believe if you read this brief article about another man's quest to make things better, you will find a concrete demand that can gain traction and win more people over to your side. The article is on corporate social responsibility. Here is the URL: http://www.medialens.org/articles/the_articles/articles_2002/rh_corporate_responsibility.html

Raise awareness of the fact that corporations are required by law to put profits over people. Point to specifics so the media can't point to vague generalities and build straw men against you. I support your right to exercise your rights. Please do something positive. Make a huge impact by insisting on these very basic changes that will have far-reaching implications. Peace.

The current laws regarding corporate rights and responsibilities are the problem. These laws define the nature of corporations. Corporations, by their nature cannot be accountable; only people can be accountable. The only penalties that can be levied against corporations are, essentially, monetary. Laws granting "personhood" to corporations and laws that allow corporations to pay monetary penalties for behaviors that, if a human being performed them, would warrant a jail term, are the problem. Take back our lives!
