Forum Post: A Flag Idea

Instead of protestors burning our country's flag, what if they could show their dissent against the institutions that are really behind the threat to our freedoms?

What if The Federal Reserve had its own flag? Or how about the IMF (International Monetary Fund)? Each of them have a logo.

Why not slap a Federal Reserve logo on a flag and burn that?

The Federal Reserve does have a flag. It is the Red, White, and Blue.

All that is incorporated under the Federal government is a part of the United States of America, Inc. including the Federal Reserve along with the corporations! There is no differentiation of powers, per se, they are all one and one are all!

We may not agree, but the flag represents the government as established under the United States of America, Inc. and to burn it shows hatred and disrespect..as well as ignorance of the alleged separation of so-called powers.

What about the International Monetary Fund? Do you consider that organization a part of the U.S. government, too?

[-] 1 points by Neuwurldodr (744) 12 years ago

What I consider or think really doesn't matter. It is the fact of what is in reality... Fact is IMF is headquartered In Washington D. C. so..o.o. what do you think or consider?

Perception is Reality.

"Eat up, it's going fast".

Ya forget trying to change the world man let's just take some acid and meditate away the wars.

[-] 1 points by Neuwurldodr (744) 12 years ago

Is this argument, statement, or fact?

[-] 0 points by asauti (-113) from Port Orchard, WA 12 years ago

Perception is Reality. -- This could be all three: an argument, a statement, and a fact. I include "a fact", because: "have fun trying to prove it to be a non-fact".

"Eat up, it's going fast". -- Well, that's a quote. Do you know what from?

[-] 1 points by Neuwurldodr (744) 12 years ago

Honestly, I haven't a clue....

The American flag is outdated and obsolete. Replace the 50 stars w the logos of the 50 largest corporate entities and you have a truer representation of what America stands for in the 21st century.

Long Live Liberty! Vote Ron Paul in 2012.

[-] 1 points by human6 (88) 12 years ago

no don't vote, make yourself heard via direct action, work for a better world, by making a homeless shelter, supporting the black market, not paying your taxes

[-] 0 points by Kirby (104) 12 years ago

You're going to go to jail dude. The people in those institutions could care less about your utopian ideals, if you know what I mean.

[-] 1 points by human6 (88) 12 years ago

how i don't get caught, and i was talking about agorism, not conventional black markets http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIluOK0migk

[-] 0 points by asauti (-113) from Port Orchard, WA 12 years ago

I'll be voting in 2012. That much will be true.

As for the other things - yes, maybe I already partake. :)

[-] 1 points by human6 (88) 12 years ago

your a voluntaryist or a libertarian? I am asking because i'm a voluntary socialist, as in i want to live on a co-op farm, but don't want to force others to live like i want to, i believe economic systems are extensions of your personality and no non-abusive system is better than any other, their are only preferences.

[-] 1 points by human6 (88) 12 years ago

can i post here

[-] 1 points by human6 (88) 12 years ago

so why are you voting for ron paul?

[-] 0 points by asauti (-113) from Port Orchard, WA 12 years ago

I want liberty/freedom for myself and I also want it for others.

I am for voluntarism, because that too, is also allowing an individual the freedom to choose.

[-] 1 points by timirninja (263) 12 years ago

you cannot inflate this idea. this is crazy.

[-] -1 points by asauti (-113) from Port Orchard, WA 12 years ago

Explain yourself.

[-] 2 points by timirninja (263) 12 years ago

imagine yourself making this video. And then you losing your job, your credit points and being accidently beat up

Those with "low brain power" are usually the ones incapable of intelligent discussion. In the end, it is likely they will just silence themselves.

[-] -1 points by asauti (-113) from Port Orchard, WA 12 years ago

Making what video?

[-] 1 points by timirninja (263) 12 years ago

Let them burn the flag. It's being done by the anarchist/Marxist filth that are driving the whole violence thing. OWS protestors that continue to prattle about a non violent movement are either liars or afraid of the violent elements.

[+] -8 points by asauti (-113) from Port Orchard, WA 12 years ago

I have to disagree with you - I would recommend they NOT BURN a flag that represents LIBERTY.

[+] -5 points by NKVD (55) 12 years ago

I'm not saying I support burning the flag. But they are simply pissing on our dead and wounded soldiers and the idea of freedom. They just turn more and more people against them. And until OWS deals with them nothing will change.

[-] 7 points by XaiverBuchsIV (508) 12 years ago

You call yourself a patriot?

The government is pissing on our soldiers by sending them to war for corporate profit and then discarding them without a second thought when their service is over.

The National Guard was never meant for overseas duty, yet many were commanded overseas for multiple tours.

A true patriot would vehemently object to the misuse and abuse of our fellow citizens rather than whine about protesters exercising freedom of speech.

You're not a patriot, you are ignorant, self-centered turd. Go find a toilet and flush yourself.

[+] -7 points by NKVD (55) 12 years ago

Okay stupid. Listen carefully: I was talking about the anarchist assholes burning the flag that represents pissing on our troops and disgust for freedom. By such actions they turn Americans against the movement. So I said that until they deal with the violent elements within the movement the people will continue to turn against them. Do you understand? Do I need to type slower for you? Stupid fuck...

[-] 7 points by XaiverBuchsIV (508) 12 years ago

You've got your head so far up your ass you have to reach down your throat to pick your nose.

You know what burns my ass? When some inbred nutbag Sunday morning armchair patriot LIKE YOU thinks a protester burning the flag is worse than my unit giving blood in Iraq for ExxonMobile.

You are the one are pissing on us. OWS protesters are against the fucking wars. All I hear from you is whining.

The flag no longer represents freedom or justice. That's why it was burned, It demonstrates that it no longer symbolizes what America is supposed to be about.

America has killed, as a bare, conservative minimum, over a hundred thousand Iraqi civilians in a war based entirely on lies. Our troops were sent there with body armor and vehicle armor that was KNOWN to be deficient. They were then sent home with no support to transition back. It has treated those who were hoodwinked into believing they were defending their country with their very lives with the most despicable apathy.

America has stopped being a democracy at home, replacing that great gift to the world with corporate plutocracy. And those plutocrats destroyed the economy gambling with its citizen's money. They have thrown millions of people out work, eliminated their income, access to health insurance, destroyed their retirements, and thrown them out of their homes, all while being bailed out, AGAIN with citizen's money, and continuing to pay themselves congratulatory bonuses in the process, and continuing to write legislation that makes a repeat of the disaster inevitable.

The flag of that corrupt, murderous America, not the America of mythology and nostalgic wishful thinking, is what was burned. That fire represents the anger that the America we remember - those of who are conservative, liberal and anarchist alike - is no more. The return to an ethical, generous country that leads the world by example rather than arms of force, that practices democracy instead of bought and payed for legislation, is what those flag burners want.

When America is reformed, when it becomes what it claims to be, those same flag burners will hold that flag up highly and proudly. Right now, it is a symbol of shame.

That was almost lucid, for a Nazi knucklehead.

How long have you been one?

[-] 1 points by nucleus (3291) 12 years ago

Crapping on our soldiers in not patriotic. You think you are the solution when in fact you are the problem.
