Occupy Philadelphia here, an endorsement of the NGA to be held in Philadelphia has been blocked by the OP GA. They came to is right after out tristate . occupy conference. Little to the 99declarations knowledge we had about 10-20 OWS members their at the gathering who informed us that the originator M. Pollack has openly denounced OWS. Along with denouncing our brothers and sisters at OWS we were also informed that not only did the organizers of the NGA have a closed door meeting with our mayor, council, and other city officials but meet with a splinter group of OP that had denounced our GA. Along with making deals with Philadelphia's 1% they turned to the them for police enforcement and major security measures just in case. After our amazing legal collective and other occupiers did some research we questioned their reps at the GA found MAJOR flaws in the info they were giving us so we made a binding vote to not endorse any move by the group.

I just throwing this out there, if you wish to be a sister movement of Occupy then. have ones reps prepare to answer some uncomfortable questions. when the 99d what created i supported it and i still think its a good idea. but that fct of the matter is if you wish to have approval from Occupy Philadelphia to have to NGA you have to explain what the issues with OWS GA is and not be disrespectful to our GA. conspiracy and caution is wide within the movement. but if i go to you for help and approval and and ask some serious questions and you react with disrespect I'm not gonna help you. Like I said I dont know the details of what happened at NYCGA and 99d. but because of the actions the reps took at OPGA 99D got shut down.

OK, I want to know the real deal about this one way or the other, including whatever happened between Michael Pollock and the NYCGA. I signed up for the 99% Declaration under the impression that it was a "sister movement" of Occupy Wall Street, with similar eventual goals but a different structure and means of action, and unless I see a major reason (fraud or something on that order) I don't plan on withdrawing membership or support.

I understand that people may be nervous or angry, and the issues we've had with police brutality and public perception have put a lot of us on edge, but let's not go on a witch hunt here. When your main allegation is "conspiracy with the 1%" you've got to admit that sounds rather eerily like charges of "conspiracy to commit counterrevolution" or "conspiracy against the People" a la a totalitarian state. Prove to me that these people are frauds, and I'll dump them in a heartbeat, but the burden of proof rests with the OP here.

It is clear that Michael Pollok denounced the NYCGA, not OWS, and rightly so. Elements in the NYCGA, a GA representing approximately 1% of protesters, a GA with unique status in the movement, a GA with exclusive control of $$$ donations, are bent on evicting a group who wishes to peaceably assemble in cyberspace. Interesting.

I believe the NGA and the 99declaration is still in control by M. Pollack I have read the transcript of the web code that OWS admins have posted. The link was deleted by a 99 admin. Whether it be Mr. Pollack or not it was deleted from an admin of the working group.

During the OP GA reps from the working group the 99dec. Brought an endorsement to our GA that we endorsement the NGA. The endorsement was tabled to the next GA which was Tuesday 12/13/11. During the corridinating meeting I myself implored to the reps that when this goes to GA that they bring any and all info and be prepared to answer any and all questions.

When brought to the OPGA the reps disrespected not only our process but could not answer questions on the 99's alleged disrespect of the OWS NYCGA. Along with that many individuals asked very informative questions about their process and could not be answered. Along with that and the concerns with the process of the NGA Occupy Philadelphia voted to not endorse the NGA ON 7/4/12 and will not endorse any other proposal brought by the working group.

OP does not know all back and forth details of the conflict between the working group and the NYCGA and OWS.

Now we love that the working group is working on a list of grievances and are trying to have an NGA. But the disrespect that we at Occupy Philadelphia had received by the reps alone and the lack of info, knowledge and accountability for info we have chosen not work with the 99D. WG. The vote can be over turned on a future date butw as of now we do not endorse.

Could you please explain what " I have read the transcript of the web code that OWS admins have posted" means.

Also what "Occupy Philadelphia voted to not endorse the NGA ON 7/4/12" means. Is that supposed to be a date?

What do you mean by "OWS admins"? I thought OWS was leaderless?

And what gives you the right to post here as the voice of PHIGA? Perhaps it would be best that you post transcripts of minutes from your GA rather than bringing your personal interpretation of things to this forum.

You felt disrespected huh?

This post is a bit confusing but obviously very important.

Who is in control of the NGA now? How do we participate? It is just a group of infiltrators claiming authority and attempting to control the movement at the local level?

Good work outing these people, but please tell us more.

I am sure you are aware there are many infiltrators on this board as well, so it is difficult to have a real conversation about important events.

The The 99%Decl NGA has basically always been separate. 99%Decl was originally a working group within OWS. OWS rubbed them out. 99%Decl believes in working with and through government. OWS does not. Philosophical differences. This happened I think, beginning of October (I'm going from memory). 99%Decl split off on their own.

For some reason recently, somehow, I do not know how or why, 99%Decl was re-instated as a Working Group within OWS.

Seems like the reunion of the two groups is not going well. I'm not really surprised. Personally, I support 99%Decl and hope they stay separate.

It's important to know that the 99%DWG found themselves on their own after being evicted from the NYCGA 'OWS' cyberspace. That is a fact.

I've been keeping up with the NGA information, the meetings with the Mayor have gained support from the city for the NGA venue to be held in Philadelphia which is a plus.

The funding of the venue has been transparent, with full disclosure. The organizers of the NGA have not denounced OWS, infact they have repeatedly asked OWS to participate, they were once a working group within the OWS NY.

I suggest, instead of taking anyone's word for it, you examine the 99PercentDeclaration web page at http://www.the99declaration.org/ and decide for yourself.

You mean you have division within your OWS group! Imagine that!
