Forum Post: 50% (((HALF)))) of all marriages fail.

This content is user submitted and not an official statement

I read on here about corporations not being fair. One comment posted said she did not want to destroy corporations, she just wanted them to play fair. So,,, what is fair? One half of all marriages end in divorce. 1/2 of the two does not agree with the other 1/2. One spouse does not think the person they were in love with enough to marry is playing fair. ONE HALF. So if half the married population does not agree,, how in the HELL do you think YOU can get people to agree with your twisted mind of corporations playing fair and who decides is fair? The nutty wife or the nutty husband? Maybe they are both nuts. Fair is in the eyes of the "other" 50%. You cant change if nobody agrees with you. I say,,, "leave us the hell alone" which actually seems like a fair statement,,,, unless YOU are the nutty spouse.

Lol I've been married 30 years to the same woman and I'm here to tell you marriage isn't fair. Lord knows she's a saint for putting up with me.

Only failure of 1/2? I believe the rate is much higher if you are looking past a one year time line.

The institution of marriage has been under sustained attack for decades. It is so easy to end a marriage that practically no-one takes any serious consideration of who they are marrying or why! It's getting like buying and trading in cars.

Maybe they both agree to divorce amicably? This issue of corporations and fairness is oversimplified by Libertarians and the religious right, which I think you are hinting at when you say, "Leave us the hell alone." Nowadays, that means, "I want corporations to trample all over the environment, over my rights as a worker, and as a human being. You don't know what you are missing, what abuse you put up with now, is my opinion.

No, it means that having more uneducated people making strategic decisions is not going to help at all.

End the tax holes REinstate glass steagall Publicily funded elections

The Wall Street dilemma and the divorce dilemma are the results of the same cause. An external entity has used corruption as a weapon to attack our country. What entity is the that? The global corporate empire, that is, the remnant of the English empire. It has used the media, education, etc., to corrupt most of us.

STOP DEAD in your tracks. Dont think of anything else. Who or what got directly in your face and corrupted you? Give me a quick example of how you were harmed,,,,,,, two days ago. Was something taked away from you? Were you denied something? You were required to do something? A person got in your face? Exactly what harmed or corrupted you recently?

To be more specific, television glamorizes bad relationships.

[-] 0 points by DunkiDonut2 (-108) 12 years ago

Glamorizes,,,, that is an interesting comment. Glamour,,,,. Television and Glamour. Glamour Magazine. One typically relates Glamour and Television and magazines with glamorous stars. Movie stars. Glamour Movie/TV Stars. And the next thought is RICH and WEALTHY Glamorous Movie/TV Stars. Most Glamorous RICH and WEALTHY stars are democrats. Not all,,, but a huge number are democrats. Live behind gated walls in mansions. Fly in private jets. Wave at the little people below as they fly off to Europe to spend their wealth rather than here. Interesting. And yet I read nearly nothing about GLAMOROUS Democrat, Rich and Wealthy MOVIE/TV stars on here. It is only the rich republicans that you seem to direct your hate toward. Interesting. I'm glad you got specific. Interesting. Are you headed to Hollywood to protest?

[-] 1 points by hymie (391) 12 years ago

For me, democrats and republicans are pretty much equally corrupt. I've lived in Hollywood for many years, but don't think that carrying a sign down the walk of fame will do much about it.

So, basically, you don't have the balls to address me on the thread that I wrote it on, let me repost it here:

[-] GirlFriday 2 points 11 hours ago You get one shot. One. Job creation comes from smaller to medium firms not the big ones. There is no reason for the mega ones to hire or to innovate, period. When they want more cash they up the price as it is not necessary to compete.

You see, starting under Reagan the antitrust laws were not enforced. So, you have pretty big monopolies. When you walk down an aisle in a store it looks like a lot of products made by different companies. It is intentionally designed that way by what is called category management. The reality is that most of it is owned by about 2 companies.

So, when it came down to the lukewarm law that was to regulate the financial industry and was approved by the major players what it actually did was hurt the smaller banks which in turn hurt the medium to smaller businesses. This is why people were/are pissed.

A lot of people have lost their businesses because the giants have played dirty to run them out. Now they are what are called "multinational". Which brings me to this: The rich don't create jobs. Play fair or GTFO.

Deutsche Bank is closing securities accounts of American's overseas because they do not want to do the paperwork for taxes. The paperwork that is necessary to stop tax evasion. This Deutsche Bank, you know, the biggest LA slumlord? http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/lanow/2011/05/la-says-deutsche-bank-among-citys-largest-slumlords-files-suit-seeking-hundreds-of-millions.html

When the rich leave make sure they take Deutsche Bank and any other multinational bank that refuses to take care of business with them. Play fair or GTFO. ↥like ↧dislike reply edit delete permalink

Divorce is profitable. That's why it's numbers are increasing.

With all of the division money, media and pop culture creates, it is no wonder we never unite in marriage, let alone humanity. Divorce is usually caused by friends opinions diffusing trust, cheating, lying, etc. All from the media. Repeated throughout the population. Please Turn off the TV, boycott black Friday, stop judging each other. You have been warned, and did not heed the warnings for years. It takes many years for couples to figure out, then move forward with love. Marriage later in life is more successful, provided unity is for the real reasons not the channel society is on at the time. Love to you all.
