First off, recessions happen every 4-7 years regardless.

Second, not only do we now purchase our own debt- think about that- but we are now fighting ourselves in our own proxy wars.

Overall faith in "the system" is at staggering lows. I'm not going to site polls here, I'm going to go off of what I hear from people in my day to day lives. Corruption is rampant, and the population is not rising to the challenge as a whole, which leads the individual to feel even more powerless than usual.
