My husband was laid off in July and neither he nor our 20 year old son are able to find jobs although they apply several places every day. We applied for food stamps and were denied because my husband has to be working 20 hours a week at least and I make 2 bucks too much to qualify. We went to a church for help yesterday to feed my family of four until next payday and were given four pieces of fish, 3 cans of veggies and five potatoes. Yes, we are the 99%!!
