I have been a social activist for 40 years. This past year and certainly during the Bush years, I had such a sense of despair. But with OCWS, my despair has evolved into hope!! I have worked both professionally and in my personal life on many social justice issues particularly around issues of poverty- children, women, youth and many of its manifestations.
