I have been applying for the "HAMP" program from the Obama admin. 6 or 7 times & never got it. It is a fake program. After signing an agreement on what to pay ea. time, we were not told that late fees, interest, & finance charges, were being added up at the high mortgage monthly payment. Hence, the bank setting us up to take our home. From 2500, they say we now owe 8000. why? We've been applying for the HAMP for over 2 1/2 yrs. Now we learned that by going through Fannie Mae, they get 1st preference & people who applied (like us) through other counselors get pushed aside. Now Obama has put up another HAMP program which began this month, but you need to have good credit for 6 months; if you had good credit, you wouldn't need the HAMP! Obama helped the banks, but what about the people?
