I'm a small business owner from Long Island; I've owned and run my own businesses for the past 35 years and I am still successful even in these economic times. But I am working three times as hard as I used to for the same return, just to stay on top of the monthly bills. I'm outraged that people can work hard and follow the rules their whole lives, and then be robbed at any point by financial manipulation of the system, the speculators on wall street and the news media campaign of fear. It is time to take advice from Sun Tzu and put ourselves on 'dying ground'. When so many have lost their freedom to be independent; when there is no safe place, when creatures on our planet are treated cruelly and without compassion, when we humans are destroying the health and beauty of the planet, whether we realize it or not, we have nothing left to lose. This is the strongest position from which to resist, and you cannot negotiate from weakness. So all power to the people of Liberty Plaza; you are protected by your integrity and wit. It is all you need if you stand together and the only position from which to build an acceptable future for all creatures on earth. There needs to be a seismic change and I support the philosophy of 'AsOne'.
