It is not beneficial to criticize jart incessantly and cause bickerings because it is unfair to her due to her lack of time or interest or both to manage the forum or reply and also the bickerings weaken the cohesion of the forum members.

To me, jart was truly a leader for the movement and certainly made major contributions. She is certainly entitled to changing her political persuasion anytime. Life's circumstances and experiences make people change and that is called growth. Her putting trust into shooz et al as moderators might have been misplaced but the fulltime nature of moderation requires and attracts ardent members. It is very easy for the ardent exercise of moderation power to degenerate into political purging. It is the nature of the beast so I do not blame jart much. To me, jart was somewhat like Napoleon during the French Revolution, an imperfect (but no one is perfect anyway) leader who spawned the forum and exercises absolute power (but only when she bothers to which is not often).

The current situation is not ideal but it is livable, even with some sockpuppets. I think everyone should refrain from modifying the code of the forum implementation until the changes have been approved by voting after a review session. We can take a lesson from the U.S. Continental Congress and let jart be General Washington to carry out the decrees of the Congress.

Careful - you will overtax it's brain-cell - you know - in asking for specifics and details and actual work and such.

nooo.... all this is ... is crying & complaining ... don't you think we would have direct democracy already... if someone had built a workable platform ? ....

no-one has yet !!! dumbass....

why don't you help ?. ... you obviously have a few script-kiddie skills ... as the real programmers call bot and virus cut n paste-ers ....

why DON'T you be constructive ? .... instead of constant ... non-stop attempt to make yourself feel better than others... go buy a Ferrari

what ?... you finally make a post of substance ?... a post that actually says something ... either than simply criticizing members or the site in general ???... well... that deserves comment ... maybe ? ... you still have bad rep here ... but I appreciate effort..,.

t... personally I don't like moderation.... however there limits ... no ?

should we allow posters to promote hate stuff... ? ... or links to child porn ?... or links to how to weapon manufacturing ? ... etc....

about bots.... I really don't care....

however, again it depends on what they do... are they promoting the above ?....

the point system of sites is intended to promote good content... content that is enjoyed by the users.... not by a team of bots.... so ... bot use to rate posts is destructive no ? ....

you speak of supporting "direct democracy" .... however one of the primary elements of DDemocracy ... is Consensus Building ... ie .... the allowing of people to "change their minds" ... to be able to be taught by the populace in a democratic manner... NOT by bots....

why... can't you get this.. ? ... democracy IS democracy... one person... one vote....

NOT 1000 bots ... 1000 votes !! ....

as is... you are an enemy to democracy

Fuck You Puppet !!! you have become the KING (let me be your leader) BOT for the 1%

I knew it was a waste of my time to even respond... never again

[-] 1 points by MattHolck0 (3867) 9 years ago

all secondary responses be handled by loading closed frame

a questions than comes to the first responses to the topic

if such a system were used for congressional debate

the first responses would well be drown among their numbers

.

move first response that garner the most responses to the top of the first response posts

[-] 1 points by MattHolck0 (3867) 9 years ago

ignore can be consigned to closing the frame under that name

though I would argue all response frames beyond the post head load in closed frame
