Settled agricultural communities and the civilizations that followed are Original Sin. That is: the abandonment of the Garden of Eden of Hunting and Gathering is both the sin and our self inflicted punishment. Seers and prophets have predicted for thousands of years the bad end we see ourselves hurtling toward today.
We can't all return to hunting and gathering. We can demand that our communities work for the entire population not just to the wealthy elite and their ministers.
Conservatism is the deliberate obtuseness that supports the greed of the wealthy ruling class. It's insensitivity to the collective effect of individual acts on the rest of humanity. The existence of conservatives threatens the existence of the human race.
