Is this Legitimate Gun use in our Society? I'm not sure I would have the guts to take on three dogs of any kind.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jan/23/man-who-shot-dogs-biting-boy-could-face-charges/

Late Addition: We could outlaw medicating kids with Ritalin or Adderall .... and I guess we could outlaw Dogs of Certain Breeds.

Yes proper use of firearm =

Dogs on the attack take one whole hell of a lot of "attention getting" ( kick punch etc ) to break their fixation in the 1st place - and - you really do not want an attacking Pit-bull to fixate on you - certainly not 3 of em.

Wash DC, is a no gun zone. So they will prosecute the man if it was a pistol. The law in the US doesn't allow any leeway, or at least that is how we have to see prosecutors today. Almost is a dehumanizing to have a policy to that prevents people from helping someone under attack.

In this case... I think we have to consider that the law is dehumanizing.

Some say we get rights from God. These are called Natural rights. Some say we created the Constitution and gave government power. That we people have freedom and rights and we are in charge of government and law.

But when prosecutors pull every law they can off the books to go after people ... seemingly for their career or ... because the system just wants all people prosecuted as fully as possible... This forces people apart. It breaks down community. It causes people to stop trusting each other. It pits us against each other, and creates weird actions like law suits just to get some kind of profit off of fellow humans.

Okay, it happens in many ways. We have been dehumnized already. War is another. Christians that want war are dehumanizing people far away that they never met. It is sickening.

HEY - GUN NUTTERS ( no not gun owners - GUN NUTTERS ) - why are you not in Wash DC protesting that it is unconstitutional. Also - will you and the nra be providing legal defense for this guy?

Shouldn't you guys have been protesting Wash DC from day 1 ? Non-stop?

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

There ya go - a perfect place for the nra to protest. Hey all you fearful gun owners - why are you not protesting Wash DC ?

WOW ya think the nra will provide legal defense for this guy?

[-] 2 points by Middleaged (5140) 11 years ago

I'm guessing gun toting Americans stay away from Virginia, New Jersey, New York & Washington DC .... Because they have very strick Gun Laws. If you get caught carrying a gun, you's in big trouble! lol

Sometimes I think many Texans have never gotten out of the state either.... ah, my mind is on something else....

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Understandable = "my mind is on something else"

Lot of distracting things goin on after all.

This is funny, and scary at the same time. And a good illustration of why we need reasonable gun safety regulations.

LOL. I haven't noticed much maturity regarding the gun issue here, but I'll take your word on that. Cheers to maturity.!

I did not believe your accusation of Bensdad lying. You never responded so I guess I was right.

[Deleted]

[-] 2 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

How was I wrong in stating your words?

[Deleted]

[-] 1 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

not telling the whole truth is lying. You don't agree? That is your mistake. I suppose if you wanna be pedantic I can ask what has Bensdad not told the whole truth about? You refuse to respond so I guess you are admitting you are wrong to suggest he did not tell the whole truth. Same difference.

[Deleted]

[-] 2 points by inclusionman (7064) 11 years ago

What does this topic have to do with, the banks? Wall st? Corporate money in our political system?.Next thing some asshole will start yammerin about why they are pro choice or against aboration.

[-] 2 points by mideast (506) 11 years ago

actually, it does
the nra & alec & koch money are very big forces in the gun debate
stand your ground was funded by koch & written by alec
the nra takes corporate money to push pro-gun laws & pro-gun posters

do you believe we would have 11,000 gun deaths per year while England has less than 100 if there was no gun company money going to candidates?

[-] 1 points by freehorseman (267) from Miles City, Mt 11 years ago

I belive that to be so.I also belive that I do not trust the people in power for that very reason.I also belive that the constitution is in danger from the very people sworn to defend it. Every single attack on our rights is always cloaked as a public saftey measure. The list is endless. Our right to bear arms comes from English law. There is no such thing as gun control,Only people control. How much control should we allow a goverment owned by corporations to have over us is open to question in a lot of minds. Not in mine.

[-] 1 points by mideast (506) 11 years ago

we are a nation of laws
the laws in some states allow some guns for some people ALL guns & owners should be licensed - just like fully automatic machine guns laws work

[-] 0 points by freehorseman (267) from Miles City, Mt 11 years ago

You are a nation of corruption. Most laws have no bearing on the elite. Are you saying that all are freedoms should be licensed?Freedom of speech must have a permit.Freedom to assemble must have a permit. And who has the power to grant such permits? The very corrupt ones that are owned by the corporations. At what point do we say this freedom is to be restricted. You can not change our fundemental rights because you find certain aspects troublesome.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

I think we would have fewer gun deaths if we had employment at a living wage.

It would also be helpful if gun owners secured them properly.

[-] 1 points by mideast (506) 11 years ago

as long as the nra & alec & other capitalists own the government, our ability to support the 99% is very limited
and the recent filibuster "change" & R electoral college move will make it worse

[Deleted]

[-] 1 points by freehorseman (267) from Miles City, Mt 11 years ago

There is no relevance at all.Gun owners come in all sizes shapes etc.Having one does not make you better or worse human. No apology is given because you are what you are. That is if offence is taken it is because the truth bothers you.Your opinion on aborition is just that an opinion. We all know that opinions are like A--H----,we all have them. And also this so called "moral high ground" is just old fashioned bullshit.
